Calibration

Learn how to set up and calibrate your system to start getting your glucose data and the most accurate readings possible.

Calibration: All You Need To Know

Ensure the best performance of your Eversense E3 CGM System with these pointers

The process for inserting the long-term sensor under the skin creates minor tissue changes around the sensor that take some time to return to normal. Twice daily calibrations for the first 21 days help support the best possible CGM accuracy during this time.

Your Eversense E3 CGM System uses a calibration algorithm that continuously assesses changes in the sensor’s glucose sensitivity. Based on this continuous assessment, the system will determine and alert you when calibration is needed.

There is no specific action you can take to change the frequency of calibrations. On day 22 and beyond, after a successful calibration, you’ll be notified if the calibration frequency changes.

To ensure the system provides the most accurate readings possible throughout 6 months, make sure you calibrate it using fingerstick readings from an accurate Blood Glucose Monitoring System, like CONTOUR®NEXT.

Helpful Tips

Ensure the best performance of your Eversense E3 CGM System with these pointers

01

There Is Nothing Wrong With The System If Sometimes 2 Calibrations Per Day Are Needed After Day 21

The system will always prompt the number of calibrations per day needed to maintain the best system accuracy for you. If more than a single daily calibration is needed, the system will automatically enter the 2 Daily Calibrations Phase, and alert you 12 hours in advance of the 2nd calibration needed.

02

Use Original Accessories Only

Use only the AC power adapter and USB cable provided with the smart transmitter when charging the smart transmitter battery. Use of another power supply could damage the smart transmitter, not allowing glucose readings to be received properly, create the risk of fire, and could result in voiding your warranty. If your Eversense AC power adapter or USB cable is damaged or lost, contact Customer Support for a replacement to ensure safe operation of the device.

Count On Your Eversense E3 For Treatment Decisions

Due to its exceptional accuracy, you can count on your Eversense E3 readings to make decisions around your insulin dosing, medication, food choices, or daily activities.
